Grading & Class Communication Policies
Class Communication and Instructor Policies:
At the beginning of every hour we will review any lessons learned the previous day. If at any time you are having a problem achieving the course or lesson requirements please see me as I will make accommodations as needed to ensure your success within the class. If any student (or parent) has a question regarding our online learning space and/or assignments I encourage you to contact me as soon as possible. Outlined below are the various ways in which a student or parent could contact me with any issues regarding class. Class and Unit Grading Policies: All assignments will be due the next day in class unless otherwise noted. Grades will be posted weekly in PowerSchool, with feedback and grades also posted in Google Classroom. All students will take part in weekly self-assessments and reflections of their own learning. ***It is the policy of the English Department to not accept late work from students. Late work will be accepted within reason and when the instructor has been notified ahead of time of an absence or issue with an assignment. Any late work will result in a parent/student/teacher conference to ensure that the student stays on target with the course and is achieving all learning goals. Grading Scale
